I wanted to raise money for teachers, so I thought if I sold enough t-shirts, I could give the proceeds away. Well, I tried. And I failed. Oops. Or, not oops. I guess I’ve learned that I have to keep on grinding so I can fail better, or fail until I don’t, or maybe just … I dunno.
It’s been a month, and I’ve raised a whopping $5. It’s really embarrassing to say that I only raised $5, but I’m putting it out there anyway. Because, well, why not? Five. Whole. Dollars. That’s like a drop in the bucket, barely.
But it is a drop in the bucket. It is $5 more than I could have given away last month. Put all the drops together into the bucket and maybe the bucket will be full one day.
I’m a man of my word, so I will give the $5 to a teacher. Stay tuned to find out who gets the cash.
Shooting for double
In May, the goal is to raise $10 to give to a teacher. That’s it. Ten whole bucks. Then we’ll keep doubling it.
So what can you do? For every Live Write! shirt or item sold, I will put aside $2, which is about what I take from the shirt.
If you would rather just give money, you can do so on the GoFundMe page or through PayPal below:
