Many things frustrate me about public education in Virginia (and America). From standardized testing to undervaluing teachers to focusing on extrinsic motivation to a USDOE that doesn’t have a clue.
I have been reading about education in other countries and I have great respect for the way Finland handles education. Let’s do things like they do in Finland. Below are some great links, but the brief summary is that Finland treats education as a top priority, and it puts teachers on the same level as doctors and lawyers.
